Get well soon Spaff!
31/03/2010
As you may have noticed, our much loved Master of Community and Fine Cuisine, Spaff, has been off ill for over a week now, following the painful arrival of Calcific Tendonitis in his left shoulder. Calcium deposits build up in tendons in the shoulder’s “rotator cuff”, leading to inflammation and extremely intense pain.
He’s had X-Rays, super-strength painkillers, steroids injected in to his eyeballs shoulder, and worst of all - has to sit around all day doing nothing but watch really, really bad films on TV whilst being unable to move his left arm. It’s not a pretty sight. Last time I saw him he had resorted to watching Season 2 of “The Shield”.
And that my friends, that’s bad news for all of us.
To help cheer Spaff up whilst he’s sat at home, unable to play games or type anything without excruciating pain, Men Lu drew this get well card :)
We don’t yet know if Spaff will have to sit put and wait for the Calcific deposit to naturally pass in to the bloodstream (an extremely painful process), or if he’ll have to head in to the hospital to have it removed with arthroscopic surgery (also an extremely painful process).
Either way - WE LOVE YOU AND GET WELL SOON SPAFF!
