A Splash of Winter Colour at Mm
16/10/2016
In our continuing feature on the blog, we’re back in the garden with Kath and Eoin this week planting bulbs and flowers for a splash of winter colour!
It’s that time of the year when everything starts to slow down and go to sleep, but there’s always plenty of jobs to do in the Mm garden. This week, Kath and Eoin (and mini Molecule Miya!) have been clearing away the veggies that have gone to seed for the year along with planting some crocus and snowdrop bulbs to give us a nice burst of colour in the early spring.
As well as planting bulbs, Kath has also filled the balcony planters with some very happy-looking violas, which are some of my favourite flowers. Just look how jolly they are! These little beauties should keep flowering all through the winter to keep the Molecules smiling :)
What do we think folks, don't they look lovely? Let us know what flowers and bulbs you're planting this season, we'd love to see your blooms!
And for something a bit different, did you know that you can eat viola flowers? They make wonderful decorations for cakes, take a look at this how-to guide to try your own: http://www.gardenista.com/post...
And that's it for this time folks! We hope you've enjoyed another glimpse into our foodie lives here at the Molecule. It's National Baking Week next week so stay tuned for lots of recipes and Molecule food funtimes! :)
